I'm so hoping they change it to Seattle Grace.

That was a very good episode. One of the reasons why was no Meredith. Now we probably get a Meredith in heaven episode next week. Oh brother.

Okay, I have finally managed to catch up. What an amazing episode. I'm amazed that so many people on here do not like Meredith (granted, sometimes she can grate on the nerves, but that's what makes her rounded) - also surprised that everything thinks McDreamy treats here poorly.
Izzy and Christina are really annoying at times. Glad Christina is over her hole "crusade" plot line and Izzy needs to get off her high horse. Would have prefered it if the guy ended up dying so it would bring her off cloud 9.
I'm frankly more interested in the surgeon storylines than the interns right now. Yes I know they are intertwined, but the surgeons appear more mature, - however, I suppose that goes back to the 17 year-olds with scalples.
Anyway, ending was really Aliasesque! Can't wait to see where they go next week.

ABC to pilot Grey's spin-off, WSJ reports
ABC is preparing a Grey's Anatomy spin-off centered on Dr. Addison Montgomery-Shepherd, the neonatal surgeon played by Kate Walsh, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday. The two-hour pilot could run as soon as this May and will be written by Grey's writer and creator Shonda Rhimes. ABC could not be reached for comment.

I wonder if the network doesn't like the fact they are locked into a show centered around the Merideth character due to the name. It does limit them from ever getting rid of her.

I see this as a winning proposal for all GA Fans.
2 shows without really harming the first. The fans seem to like Addison, but the writers have been struggling to find a place for her in the plots. Outside of Alex, there really hasn't been much for her to do.
GA has been adding characters over the seasons, which diminishes the contribution opportunities other cast member provide. Time to thin the herd.

Grey's Anatomy Spin-Off Ordered
Link
ABC has just announced that they have put into production a possible spin-off of 'Grey's Anatomy' featuring the character of Addison Montgomery-Shephard. According to ABC a 2-hour episode of 'Grey's Anatomy' set to air in May will serve as a backdoor-pilot to the new series (from which ABC will base their decision to pick up the series or not with).
I really enjoy her character (and think she was a perfect addition to the series), but I'm not sure if she can carry a television show herself as a star... but I'm really curious as to the storyline behind the new series, and I won't be complaining about having 2-hours of GA next season. But unfortunately this means Shandra's potential lawyer show has been pushed off even further.

I guess we'll have to see how the ratings for the pilot are. Before Grey's, I never heard of Kate Walsh, but I like her 10 times better than Ellen Pompeo. So, does this mean that Addison is possibly being written out?
If they are going to base their decision on a possible series off this episode in May, I cannot see this show going into production until mid-season next year.
