I'm so hoping they change it to Seattle Grace.

That was a very good episode. One of the reasons why was no Meredith. Now we probably get a Meredith in heaven episode next week. Oh brother.

I think even God will find Merideth annoying, and that is why she will get sent back.

Cool. Thanks for the info. That's already a very busy recording time. I guess I'm going to have to dust off the VCR in my spare room to record the fourth thing I have scheduled for that time this week.

Okay, I have finally managed to catch up. What an amazing episode. I'm amazed that so many people on here do not like Meredith (granted, sometimes she can grate on the nerves, but that's what makes her rounded) - also surprised that everything thinks McDreamy treats here poorly.

Izzy and Christina are really annoying at times. Glad Christina is over her hole "crusade" plot line and Izzy needs to get off her high horse. Would have prefered it if the guy ended up dying so it would bring her off cloud 9.

I'm frankly more interested in the surgeon storylines than the interns right now. Yes I know they are intertwined, but the surgeons appear more mature, - however, I suppose that goes back to the 17 year-olds with scalples.

Anyway, ending was really Aliasesque! Can't wait to see where they go next week.

ABC to pilot Grey's spin-off, WSJ reports
ABC is preparing a Grey's Anatomy spin-off centered on Dr. Addison Montgomery-Shepherd, the neonatal surgeon played by Kate Walsh, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday. The two-hour pilot could run as soon as this May and will be written by Grey's writer and creator Shonda Rhimes. ABC could not be reached for comment.

I agree. I like Addison on GA but I don't need to see a whole show about her. Seems like a dumb idea.

I wonder if the network doesn't like the fact they are locked into a show centered around the Merideth character due to the name. It does limit them from ever getting rid of her.

I've loved Addison since the day she showed up at the end of Season 1, and I've pretty much despised Meredith from the pilot, so if they focused on Addison, I'd be a happy camper.

I see this as a winning proposal for all GA Fans.

2 shows without really harming the first. The fans seem to like Addison, but the writers have been struggling to find a place for her in the plots. Outside of Alex, there really hasn't been much for her to do.

GA has been adding characters over the seasons, which diminishes the contribution opportunities other cast member provide. Time to thin the herd.

It would make a lot more sense to spin Meredith's character off the show.

It would make a lot more sense to spin Meredith's character off a balcony.

Grey's Anatomy Spin-Off Ordered

Link

ABC has just announced that they have put into production a possible spin-off of 'Grey's Anatomy' featuring the character of Addison Montgomery-Shephard. According to ABC a 2-hour episode of 'Grey's Anatomy' set to air in May will serve as a backdoor-pilot to the new series (from which ABC will base their decision to pick up the series or not with).

I really enjoy her character (and think she was a perfect addition to the series), but I'm not sure if she can carry a television show herself as a star... but I'm really curious as to the storyline behind the new series, and I won't be complaining about having 2-hours of GA next season. But unfortunately this means Shandra's potential lawyer show has been pushed off even further.

Well one major way they will get the GREYS fans to come over to the show is that its pretty much gaurenteed that it will air directly after GA next season....

Maybe they'll have Addison find herself in Alaska (just a skip and hop away) and merged into "Men in Trees".

I guess we'll have to see how the ratings for the pilot are. Before Grey's, I never heard of Kate Walsh, but I like her 10 times better than Ellen Pompeo. So, does this mean that Addison is possibly being written out?

If they are going to base their decision on a possible series off this episode in May, I cannot see this show going into production until mid-season next year.
